GHC's classes offer opportunities to work with our certified housing counselors to develop the skills necessary for finding and keeping affordable, safe housing for renters, homeowners, and first time home buyers. All classes are free, but registration is required.

Ready to Rent This course is designed for people who have had difficulty finding or keeping an apartment or rental house. Our housing counselors will teach you the skills and strategies for successful renting, even if you have barriers such as poor credit. See more here.

More than Just a Mortgage and First Time Homebuyers classes Buying a house requires more than just a down payment. You need to consider all the advantages and disadvantages of owning your own property, budget for closing costs, homeowners insurance and maintenance costs, and know a bit about how a house works (turn off circuit breakers, gas lines, install smoke alarms, and so on).
